God’s love for you has many attributes:

God’s Perfect Love

God’s Love of Sacrifice

God Loves You – His Loving Promise

He shows us that though they (like you and I) have made many mistakes, that He still loves us and gives us every chance to turn to Him. Because of His great and never-ending love for us, God wants us to benefit from and inherit all the good He has for us. He also promises that if we reject His love and gift of atonement through Jesus, that we face eternal hell.

God sent His Son to pay the price for us, so that we can be forgiven and saved from the punishment of hell. Jesus died in our place. This is not a reflection of an unjust and unloving God, but a reflection of our animosity and rejection of Him. Because He is a loving God, He provided the only way of escape.

No matter how many mistakes you’ve made, no matter how unworthy you think you are, He still loves you and wants you to come to know Him. If you do not yet know Him, won’t you accept God’s gift of love today? It’s been paid in full for you.

For the first time we invited the Chinese Ministry from Reservoir Garden Baptist Church to lead us in CF. We played an ice breaker followed by praise and worship. After that sister Phoeh Hoon shared with us on the topic of not to worry.

She used the passage from Matthew 6:25-34,

25 “So I tell you, don’t worry about the things you need to live—what you will eat, drink, or wear. Life is more important than food, and the body is more important than what you put on it. 26 Look at the birds. They don’t plant, harvest, or save food in barns, but your heavenly Father feeds them. Don’t you know you are worth much more than they are? 27 You cannot add any time to your life by worrying about it.

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? Look at the wildflowers in the field. See how they grow. They don’t work or make clothes for themselves. 29 But I tell you that even Solomon, the great and rich king, was not dressed as beautifully as one of these flowers. 30 If God makes what grows in the field so beautiful, what do you think he will do for you? It’s just grass—one day it’s alive, and the next day someone throws it into a fire. But God cares enough to make it beautiful. Surely he will do much more for you. Your faith is so small!

31 “Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ 32 That’s what those people who don’t know God are always thinking about. Don’t worry, because your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things. 33 What you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing what he wants you to do. Then he will give you all these other things you need. 34 So don’t worry about tomorrow. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Tomorrow will have its own worries.

We had a truly blessed Christian Fellowship that day.

pray together

Jesus said “For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them”. We are having prayer meeting every Wednesday (for morning school students) and Thursday (for afternoon school students) starting from 28/1 and it’s an opportunity for us to come together to seek God. See you and God bless!

Matthew 21:21

Faith

Faith

Many have wondered about Jesus’ statement that if we have faith and don’t doubt, we can move mountains. Jesus, of course, was not suggesting that his followers use prayer as “magic” and perform capricious “mountain-moving” acts. Instead, he was making a strong point about the disciples’ (and our) lack of faith. What kinds of mountains do you face? Have you talked to God about them? How strong is your faith?

Matthew 19:30

Jesus turned the world’s values upside down. Consider the most powerful or well-known people in our world. How many got where they are by being humble, self-effacing, and gentle? Not many! But in the life to come, the last will be first-if they got in last place by choosing to follow Jesus. Don’t forfeit eternal rewards for temporary benefits. Be willing to make sacrifices now for greater rewards later. Be willing to accept human disapproval, while knowing that you have God’s approval.
