Games Day 10/3
On 10/3, we have our Games Day. Everyone was hyped to play and have fun with their friends. Before we started, we sang a couple of moving songs to worship God.
Then, our vice president briefed us about the first game called ‘Stack it Up’. The rules are simple, we are to run around a stool with our heads down 15 times, before running towards the table allocated for each time. There are 6 highlighters on each table that we need to stack up, two by two. After one player is done, she will run back to her teammates, slap the next teammate’s waiting hand and the game continues until one team completes the entire rounds. It was a hilarious, dizzy game! We laughed our heads off, watching our friends stumble about like drunks 😆
The next game was ‘Battle Plan’, where one team has to dodge around the opposition team, grab the stool that was prepared, run to the end of the room and sit firmly on it. It was an intense battle 😉 , everyone were so energetic and competitive. After a long time of grappling with the oppositions, the game finally ends with 1:0. Rest assured, no feelings were injured.
Soon after, we played a game called ‘Bible verses’. In this game, we are to memorize a certain verse from the bible. The bible verse was from Ephesians 6:10-18. The committee wrote the words on a large piece of paper and cut them out one by one. Then the words are hidden in parts of the school. The search took 30 minutes.
Ephesians 6:10-18New International Version (NIV)
The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
After the game was over, we all gathered around to hear our vice-president explain the bible verses. We are to put on the armour of God and go out to face the world with God by our side.
Finally before the meeting ended, we took a group photo. Sadly, there were a few members missing from it.
