For the 4th meeting which was a movie day, we watched a movie named “Bruce Almighty”.

Bruce Almighty is a movie about a man, Bruce Nolan, who is very unhappy with his life. He does not want to live a mediocre life anymore, and he fails to see the positive side of everything. One night, when everything is too much for him, he is involved in a car accident and he angrily curses God for neglecting him and not taking care of him. So, God offers him a deal, Bruce gets all God’s powers, and all God’s responsibilities as well.

However, he abuses the power, using it only to improve his own life. He also begins to ignore his girlfriend, Grace. Soon, he discovers that everything he uses his new-found powers to do has other adverse effects on other people.

Bruce is using the power to perform some miracles.

He finally sees that his girlfriend, Grace is very sad because he has been so distant and wants to stop loving him. He asks God to take back all the powers and responsibilities, as he has learned his lesson. God agrees and Bruce goes back to his ordinary life, happy at last.

This is quite a relevant story to us, especially in present times. the movie also uses a comedic element to convey a more serious message to the audience. Sometimes, we are angry with God of all the problems in our lives. However, we should ask God for advice, not demand that he fix all our problems instantly. We should trust God that God does everything in His own time, and He has a perfect plan for each and everyone of us.

Thank you for reading. God bless.
